Working Group Activities
Description of activities
Work Plan - WG-2 will participate in the 33rd ISRSE Symposium in Stresa, Italy, May 4-8, 2009. In 2010 it will contribute technical sessions at the Commission VIII mid-term symposium in Kyoto, Japan. In 2010 the WG members will organize an international workshop as part of another national meeting in the USA. By July, 2011 the WG plans to publish a book titled Environmental Tracking for Public Health Surveillance as part of the ISPRS book series with Taylor and Francis. Finally, in 2012, the WG will organize technical sessions for the next ISPRS Congress in Melbourne, Australia.
The WG is also an active contributor to the Group on Earth Observations (GEO) and the advancement of the Global Earth Observing System of Systems (GEOSS). Currently, members of the WG are active in GEO's User Interface Committee and are contributing to an International Council for Science (ICSU) project that will incorporate Earth science models and data in its Science for Health and Well-being Programme.
Members of the working group are encouraged to participate in these events by submitting abstracts and papers, serving as session moderators, contributing to the book series volume, and/or hosting sessions at other meetings throughout the four year period.
